RECIPE OF THE MONTH ( NOVEMBER )

For all our American friends here, Our recipe of the month is

ROAST TURKEY FOR THANKSGIVING

Set the oven to 220*C/425*F  stuff the bird with Yorkies sage and onion stuffing which is made with our own pork sausage meat.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Cover the turkey with Yorkies streaky bacon if desired  Cover loosely with foil.  Cook for 20 mins.  Reduce the heat to 180*C/350*F  and cook for the required time. (20mins per lb  + 20mins )

Baste the bird from time to time.. The bird is cooked when a skewer inserted into the thickest part of the leg show clear juices. I.E, no blood. 

Remove from the oven, remove the foil and leave to stand at least 15 mins before carving..

Serve with potatoes and vegetables of your choice, and cranberry sauce ( our own cranberry sauce available at Yorkies )
