Yorkies                                                                                                                                        

Was established in 1999, when Norman and Eileen first came to live in Jomtien, Thailand.   Norman, a fully qualified English beef and pork Master butcher, had many years under his belt running his own business in the UK. Eileen also had her own butcher’s shop for 10 years in the same area, which is how they met. Yorkies continued to grow at their original location on Jomtien beach road for 13 years, until they eventually outgrew the premises.                                                                                        

On the 5th of December 2011, Yorkies opened up their new café, and shop, on Soi Chaiyapreuk, Jomtien. The brand new factory unit, only metres away, became fully operational on the 15th of March 2011.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Sadly, Norman passed away 4 days before on the 11th and never got to see his new production areacompleted.  With 30 staff in total, Eileen has promised that Yorkies will continue with the same high standards, quality and reliability for which Yorkies has been proud of for the last 13 years serving the general public, supermarkets, restaurants and resorts in various locations around Thailand.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            All safety and hygiene standards are adhered to here as they would be in the UK, and to British standards.

Our bacon and gammon is traditionally dry cured with no added water. This means what you put in the pan is what you take out. There is no shrinkage, and there is no watery substance left in the pan as is the case with many pre-packed bacon on the shelves these days. We have several varieties of sausages, and we use only natural casings

We produce a variety of pies and pasties daily, using recipes that have been in the family for over 60 years.

It should be noted that it is a policy of Yorkies to regularly test our freshly delivered meat for any traces of chemicals,


Yorkies retail shop is open daily from 8am -6pm 364 days a year, closing only one day for songkhran.
